{"id":43,"date":"2021-11-09T21:14:08","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T21:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cyber-rci.com\/2022\/?page_id=43"},"modified":"2022-04-13T01:22:23","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T00:22:23","slug":"authors-instructions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cyber-rci.com\/2022\/authors-instructions\/","title":{"rendered":"Authors Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Submission Link<\/h2>\n<p>Only electronic submissions in PDF format submitted through <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=crci2022\">EasyChair<\/a> will be considered:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=crci2022\">https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=crci2022<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Author Instructions<\/h2>\n<p>Submissions must demonstrate a significant relevance to cybersecurity, cybercrime and related themes (see <a href=\"https:\/\/cyber-rci.com\/2022\/tracks-and-topics\/\">Tracks and Topics<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The CRCI Steering Committee takes the protection of intellectual property very seriously. Submitted papers must be original and not be considered elsewhere for publication. Overlaps with previously published or simultaneously submitted papers, from any of the authors, should be clearly documented in the manuscript. By submitting your work, you agree to allow it to be screened for plagiarism.<\/p>\n<p>Two types of submissions are invited:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-length research papers<\/li>\n<li>Work-in-progress short papers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Full-length Papers (max. 8 pages)<\/h3>\n<p>Full-length submissions must be <strong>at most eight A4 pages<\/strong> in standard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">IEEE two-column format<\/a>, including text, figures, and tables. In exceptional cases, additional pages may be considered but will incur a supplemental charge.<\/p>\n<p>All submissions are expected to present the prior state-of-the-art in the field and clearly discuss the paper\u2019s significant and novel contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions which are not accepted as full-length papers may be recommended by the Programme Committee for short paper presentation if of sufficient quality.<\/p>\n<h3>Work-in-Progress Short Papers (max. 4 pages)<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to full-length regular papers, CRCI welcomes Work-in-Progress (WiP) papers showing innovative and original research. Submissions from both industry and academia are strongly encouraged.<\/p>\n<p>WiP papers should be <strong>at most four A4 pages<\/strong> long, and at least two pages long, including tables, figures, and references.<\/p>\n<p>WiP papers are expected to report on early or ongoing research activities. CRCI wants to provide a forum to share novel ideas and emerging results. The emphasis is on the novelty of the work, not completeness.<\/p>\n<h3>Formatting and Language<\/h3>\n<p>The IEEE LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates, as well as formatting instructions, can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All submissions must be written in English.<\/p>\n<h2>Mandatory Author Registration<\/h2>\n<p>At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for and attend the conference to have his\/her paper published in the conference proceedings.\u00a0 The presenter must register at the appropriate author rate <strong>no later than April 9, 2022<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>Presenters who fail to register by this date will be removed from the programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Review Process<\/h2>\n<p>Submitted papers will undergo a rigorous double-blind review process handled by the Programme Committee. All submissions will be treated as confidential communications during their review, and thus submission does not constitute public disclosure of any ideas therein.\u00a0 Papers may be\u202f <em>desk rejected<\/em>\u202fby the Programme Committee\u00a0\u2014\u00a0i.e.\u00a0rejected before entering the review process\u00a0\u2014 if\u00a0it is felt\u00a0that the submission is out of the conference\u2019s scope, written using poor English language that precludes effective communication, does not follow manuscript formatting guidelines, or\u00a0is otherwise not appropriate. The scores assigned by the reviewers are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strong reject<\/li>\n<li>Reject<\/li>\n<li>Marginal tend to reject<\/li>\n<li>Borderline paper<\/li>\n<li>Marginal tend to accept<\/li>\n<li>Accept<\/li>\n<li>Strong accept<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All the decisions obtained via the review process are either <em>(conditional) acceptances or rejections.<\/em> Conditionally acceptances will stipulate required changes for final acceptance. Effectively addressing these requirements in the final submission of a paper is essential, and is the authors\u2019 responsibility to adequately document in a response letter how the reviewers\u2019 feedback was adequately addressed. Such responses will be at the disposal of the reviewers.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions which are not accepted as full-length papers may be recommended by the Programme Committee for short paper presentation if of sufficient quality.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Conference Proceedings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>All accepted papers presented at the conference will be published.<\/p>\n<p>The conference proceedings will be deposited in an on-line repository.<\/p>\n<p>Application for IEEE sponsorship of this conference has been sought and the decision is due soon.
